How are we different?

At Massage Harrisburg, we strive to give our clients what they NEED, rather than just a “feel good” massage. Don’t get me wrong, you will feel good when you leave AND we will work on correcting the source of the problem. All our therapists have been trained in a variety of techniques with the end goal in mind of allowing the body to move pain free, have greater range of motion, and improved quality of life.

Although our sessions are still timed (30, 60, or 90 minutes), we won’t overwhelm you with a menu of services and leave it up to you to decide what is best for you. We simply ask you to choose how long you would like your session to be, and you and your therapist will collaborate on how to most effectively use that time. Every massage starts with a brief intake to assess what you have been feeling, where any imbalances are present, and what your goals are for that session. Your therapist will then cater the session accordingly.

The goal of every session is to give the clients the experience they are hoping for. We believe that the best modality suited for each person is the one that will benefit them the most. We have found that when we are able to create a session where the person on the table is as invested in their own healing as we are, the work is more efficient and the client leaves feeling fulfilled both physically and spiritually. Incorporating a wide array of modalities and tailoring each session to what the client is interested in working on, as well as maintaining open communication during the session has proven to create some of the most remarkable transformations in structural integrity, pain level, and mind/body connection that we have experienced in our massage careers.
